ITFP‑GH partners with Black Star Fashion Week 2026 to promote Ghanaian fashion through exhibitions, runways, masterclasses and nationwide creative industry engagement.

The Institute of Textiles and Fashion Professionals – Ghana (ITFP GH) is delighted to announce our official partnership with Black Star Fashion Week 2026 (BSFW26), a landmark national celebration of Ghanaian fashion, culture, craftsmanship and creative enterprise. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to elevating Ghana’s textile and fashion ecosystem, strengthening industry-wide visibility, and championing the designers, artisans, educators and innovators who shape Ghana’s creative future.

BSFW26, hosted under the broader Black Star Experience, is Ghana’s premier fashion and culture festival. The event brings together designers, makers, buyers, investors, researchers, and culture enthusiasts for a dynamic programme of conversations, masterclasses, exhibitions, runway showcases, live entertainment, and destination experiences across Accra and Akosombo. It is a national movement to #PutGhanaOn, a call for Ghanaians and global supporters to wear, name, choose, champion and open doors for Ghanaian fashion.

As partners, ITFP GH proudly supports the festival’s mission to:

•      Recognise and credit the designers, stylists, and artisans behind Ghanaian fashion.

•      Promote local production, contemporary fashion, jewellery, footwear, streetwear and upcycled pieces.

•      Encourage investment, commissioning, stocking and funding of Ghanaian creative work.

•      Showcase Ghanaian fashion across offices, schools, music, retail, travel and global cultural platforms.

BSFW26 also features the Presidential Runway, curated exhibitions, and the Akosombo Experience, a unique cultural immersion highlighting the beauty of the Volta Lake region through wellness, cuisine, leisure, outdoor activities and creative encounters.

This partnership strongly aligns with ITFP GH’s mandate to advance professional development, strengthen industry networks, and support Ghana’s creative economy through research, education, innovation, and inclusive membership engagement. We believe BSFW26 marks a new chapter for Ghanaian fashion, and we are honoured to help drive its success.

We invite all members, partners, students, designers, researchers, and industry stakeholders to join the movement and take part in this historic celebration of Ghanaian creativity.

Together, let us #PutGhanaOn.
